I had an utter culture shock when my sister and I went to the ice rink on thursday night to skate, it being "ladies night". Other nights are reserved for hockey boys..
Not knowing that this its probably the place for the younger ones to hang out.
Given the opportunity, girls tossed aside their veils and pranced around in heels and make-up 6 inches thick. I've never seen so much breast.. bra's.. tits.. or lesbian girls in one place, ever. Loud music and tacky disco lights were the apparent cool ambience. Oh, don't let me get to obnoxious behaviour.
I don't mean to mock, but why bother display purity by wearing an abaaya in the first place?

As much as i am happy to tie the knot, some issues are really affecting me. Issues that he knows about and is tolerable for the time being. Or maybe just my issue. Ok, time to spill it out and deal with it.
I cannot cook, even to save myself from starvation.
I am scared of lighting up the gas stove, if it doesn't light up for the first time round. Then i will smell the gas and think there is a gas leak. Then i will be scared to death and call my mum/maid/sister/brother to light it up for me. Shit shit shit. That is just the beginning.
When it comes to the cooking part, i am most adept at cooking scrambled eggs which is my speciality. When i try to cook the sunny side up, i have no idea whether to turn the sunny side down in the pan just before taking it out and i especially hate it when the egg bubbles burst and spurts the hot oil on me. Hello! I love my skin.

After DDA's mega housing scheme and another announced by the National Building Construction Corporation, here's some more good news for those aspiring to own affordable accommodation in the capital. The government is considering a proposal that will make it mandatory for group housing societies wishing to make use of the increased floor area ratio (FAR) under Delhi's new Master Plan-2021, to construct new dwelling units in their society premises instead of finding ways to expand the existing flats.
If the Union urban development ministry proposal goes through, around 1 lakh more houses are expected to come up in the city.
FAR in group housing societies has been increased from 167 to 200 in MPD-2021, which was notified by the urban development ministry in February last year. After MPD-2021 came into force, several housing societies had permitted their residents to increase the area of their flats by making... (more)
